Amanda Anderberg

Advisory Board Member

Amanda has dabbled in theater throughout her life, first on the stage as a child and through high school. She started sewing with private lessons when she was nine and, under the guidance of her incredible theater teacher her senior year, finally combined her two passions and began costume design. Through college she did a brief stint with both Utah Opera and Symphony in the costume shop and a summer at the Utah Shakespearean Festival.  CSP became a second home when her daughter joined the cast of The Little Mermaid, and after years away from her craft, Amanda began to volunteer making costumes for CSP in Spring 2016.  She is beyond grateful for the family that CSP has become and the chance to constantly grow and challenge herself in the art of costuming.  Amanda lives in Escondido with her two beautiful daughters and her incredibly supportive husband, Paul.  When they are not at CSP, they run a local business (The Place That Ships) and Amanda also runs a home business.

Delnora Janecek

Founding/Executive Board Member

Delnora is a founding board member and has held many jobs over the years.  Her favorite is props master.  Prior to CSP Delnora was a CPA with Ernst & Young and the Controller for the Union-Tribune Publishing Company.  Her daughter's involvement in theatre is what initially pulled Delnora into helping found CSP in 2004.  Since then, she has watched both her daughter and son "grow up" with CSP.  She loves the many benefits that the musical theatre experience gives to kids which is why she is still a passionate board member. She lives in Escondido with her extremely supportive husband Tom.

Later, she joined Break On 2, the University of Southern California's Latin ballroom team and continues her dance training through CSP's performing arts program. Gia Kearns

Executive Board Member

Gia is a founding board member. Originally Gia gathered a group of women together in her living room to discuss how they could make youth theater better in our community.  With a daughter interested in theater, Gia found local theater groups lacking the guidance she wanted her daughter to experience and grow as both a performer and young adult. CSP was grown out of love for our children and the desire to help them grow personally, on-stage and develop strong communication and life skills through theater. It is a community effort and everyone at CSP wears many hats. Gia’s favorite role has been costuming and working with the performers during performances in her stage right manager role. “I am very proud of who we have become and overjoyed by the impact we have made in our performers lives.”

Heidi Levin

Executive Board Member

Heidi Levin joined the advisory board in 2007 when her youngest son, Daniel, was able to join his older brother, Matthew, at CSP. She stepped up to the Executive Board a couple of years later and has been heavily involved ever since.  Heidi handles many of the administrative tasks for CSP including being the voice on the other end of the phone.  During the shows, Heidi is the Backstage Manager and vows that “no child will ever miss a cue on her watch.” CSP is truly a family adventure as her husband, Steve, joins in - working up in the Sound Booth during shows.

Abby, along with her husband Drew, enjoy homeschooling their 3 kids, tending their chickens, going to the beach and being historical re-enactors at Old Town State Historic Park.  In her previous life, she was an accountant but her real life-long fantasy dream is to be the family living in the lighthouse like in Pete’s Dragon.
